Affonso Ferreira
Affonso Ferreira is an accomplished business and strategy leader with extensive experience in oil and gas, clean energy, operations management, talent acquisition, career development, and QHSE, bringing a global perspective shaped by decades of leadership experience across multiple countries. As Vice President of Strategy at The Theodoros Group, Affonso has launched and will oversee TTG’s newest business line, Strategic Services. Strategic Services specializes in connecting clients with qualified independent contractors for highly specialized projects, interim needs, fractional expertise where traditional EOR W2 Temp or Direct Hire service cannot deliver the results the business needs. Prior to joining The Theodoros Group, Affonso built an extensive career in business development and talent acquisition for a global staffing firm where, through his expertise, grew the division from $0 to $25 million in three years and expanded services lines internationally – including the US, Mexico, Latin America, Africa, Australasia and the Middle East.
Education and Achievements
Affonso holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte in Brazil. Throughout his career, he has led significant business and organizational initiatives, including developing a business model that nearly tripled 2025 revenue within the first eight months of 2026 while maintaining a healthy gross margin. He also led a cross-functional team through the integration of a newly acquired company, completing major milestones five months ahead of schedule and generating millions of dollars in savings. Additionally, Affonso managed a global strategic alliance that generated, surpassing partner expectations.
Personal
In his free time, Affonso enjoys spending time with his wife, their family, and their granddaughter. Born in Brazil, he is an avid sports fan with a particular passion for soccer, while also enjoying football and baseball. Affonso is a lifelong Futmesa enthusiast and is one of the founders and a member of the Houston League of Futmesa. He also enjoys outdoor activities with friends and family. Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, Affonso values connecting with people from different cultures and brings that global perspective to both his personal and professional life.
